I believe newer coin doors come in a couple of standard sizes, but I could be wrong. I'd say the best way to keep it from looking like a hack job would be to use a door that is larger than the existing hole and cut a new one, because unless you're really good, filling any extra space without being noticable may be difficult. Of course, then you would prevent the cabinet from ever being returned to it's original shape.

: I'm converting an old Asteroids cabinet and the coin doors that came with it are falling apart. I was thinking of using the Happ 4-player coin door or the 2-player pinball door.

: Has anyone had any direct experience with either one of these? Neither one fits perfectly into the original hole. Is there a standard size for doors, or are they different per game? Any tips for fitting a coin door into a different hole size without it looking like a hack job?
