Probably not, they're just optical sensors, not pots or hall-effect or anything like that, right?

I if this is the link to the Perfect 360-to-DC hack we're talking about:

it mentions using the DC Arcade Joystick rather than a regular joypad. I believe the Arcade Joystick doesn't have analog pad functionality - doesn't emulate the analog pad - the stick only maps to the DC's digital D-pad. Such a stick would not work with games that required the analog pad.


: Can I ask why you want to use the 360 joysticks? Is there a way to get analog output from them? If so, I'd upgrade my super-8s immediately. I have been trying to figure out how to get analog control to the joystick PCB for awhile now.

: I am aware of the MAS systems pcbs which "simulate" analog input, but I'm a hacker and think there should be an easier way (and not pay for those expensive boards).
