If I remember correctly you can do something like this:
-Run arcadeos and set it with space in the orientation you want, arcadeos will remember this.
-Select all games with alt, arcadeos will remember this.
-Before you run a horizontal game you can use ctrl to change the orientation of the game to L or R for a H game...then mame will display the horizontal game correctly rotated on a vertical monitor...
