A few things:
I too would like to know how long the spinners will spin (give 'em a good rip, and see how long it takes them to stop). This was always a good test to see how well maintained a Tempest machine was.
Related to that is how fast you can spin the knob without the cursor freaking out. Can they handle zipping from one end of a Tempest playfield to another without going crazy?
Are they sensitive enough for games like Arkanoid and Turbo, which require more of a fine touch, as opposed to outright frantic spinning?
Durability. Are they going to stand up to abuse? Or are there little glued-on plastic bits that could come apart over time.
How easy are they to mount in a control panel or stand-alone case (for those with limited desk space)?
Inquiring minds want to know. :)
