help, ´teeth on wheels question(spinner)

AArrgg!!!

Now im confused!!

On several "build your own spinner" pages,
it mentions breaking of teeths of the wheel from the mouse...
But here I read its better to have as many legs as possible for better accuracy! Why should i then break the legs in the first place? help me out! break or not?
