Tom -

That sounds like it needs degaussed like you pointed out. I've heard it described as the monitor looks like its bruised because whites come out with a bluish purple color.

Radio shack or other electronics store. you're in evansville right? I think there is an Ohio Valley Sound there....maybe.

: Hi Folks,

: I got my replacement monitor for my ArcadePC Friday and installed it Friday nite. After allowing the monitor to come up to room temperature for 5 hours I turned it on. The top center of the screen has a "blotchy" spot. At first it was real noticable, especially on a solid color screen such as DOSEdit. On a blue screen it was purple. On a red screen it was burnt orange. The next day the spot is much less noticeable and today it's about the same...but it is still there.

: The monitor was shipped to me with it's face down in the box. Could this problem be something to do with deguassing? I used the deguassing button but it doesn't seem to get any better. Will it most likely go away over time or would a deguassing tool do the trick? Can I buy a deguassing tool anywhere other than Happs? Sorry, too many questions.

: Any advice?

: BTW, I will do a review of my full-sized ArcadePC after I have "lived with it" for a few weeks or so. :-)

: -Tom A.
