Brand New Monitor Color Inaccuracies

Hi Folks,

I got my replacement monitor for my ArcadePC Friday and installed it Friday nite. After allowing the monitor to come up to room temperature for 5 hours I turned it on. The top center of the screen has a "blotchy" spot. At first it was real noticable, especially on a solid color screen such as DOSEdit. On a blue screen it was purple. On a red screen it was burnt orange. The next day the spot is much less noticeable and today it's about the same...but it is still there.

The monitor was shipped to me with it's face down in the box. Could this problem be something to do with deguassing? I used the deguassing button but it doesn't seem to get any better. Will it most likely go away over time or would a deguassing tool do the trick? Can I buy a deguassing tool anywhere other than Happs? Sorry, too many questions.

Any advice?

BTW, I will do a review of my full-sized ArcadePC after I have "lived with it" for a few weeks or so. :-)
