Seriously, its amazing to see a junior in high school with such a high interest level in this topic. Kudos to Rob Caskey!
I love these games because I grew up with them. I'm 30 years old and I remember these games when they were new in the arcades. Part of my youth.
If I was 16 or 17 (i.e. born after many of these games were released), I wonder how captivated I'd be with these odd sprites and 2D gameplay. I can't help but think that newer technology and 3D graphics would have spoiled me.
I guess this truly is a testament to the quality of these old classics.
Oh, and I could never have bankrolled such an undertaking in HS. Besides, we didn't have resources to do research like this when I graduated in 1987. No Internet for the masses!
