I know I have to put the video modes on the mame.cfg file, but do I also have to change the monitor from monitor=standard to monitor=arcade if I'm using a t.v.? I saw the cfg files in the contribution folder of advanced mame and the guys using arcade monitors which I thought had the same frequency as a t.v. changed that to arcade. Do I need to do that too??
Thanks!

: Ok, I was trying to play around with advanced mame with my laptop and s-video to my 25 inch t.v.
: When i entered the t.v.'s h res and v res and tried to run mv.exe to see how the different resolutions looked, I got an error all the time saying that the resolutions were out of the range of the hardware I'm using.
: Can I not test advanced mame using a laptop since the computer is sending the display to the laptop monitor instead of the t.v. screen so I can't check the proper resolutions on the t.v.??? If so, how can I do this? Is there a way to tell the computer to send the monitor output to the t.v. and not the laptop screen?
: Thanks!
