- My memories come from going to the racquetball club with my parents where I think I must have spent HUNDREDS of dollars on all the games they had there. What was nice about that place was they rotated the games every few weeks so I had a lot of different ones to play and not just the same ones all the time. This way I got a good gaming education. :) The strongest memories are of me playing elevator action, mag max, missle command, crazy climber, pacman, frogger, blueprint and many many more. It was a good time to be a kid. (Well except for the fact that I had a limited amount of money) Another vivid memory is playing 1942 at the local roller skating rink. I kicked ass on that game and I always got the high score on it. It still is to this day one of my faves. When my friend told me about mame, I couldn't believe it! All those classics and they were just like the old days! It was awesome. Then I started reading about all the cabinets and controllers and decided to make mine. It really does make the difference when I play those games. I can't wait until I have enough room to make a cabinet for my control panel! Patience patience. I recently have come to realize that I am probably addicted to arcade games. :) Oh well! I can't get enough of them. I have to go into every arcade that I come across and check out all the games that they have and see if there are any classics amongst the new ones. I'm always trying to improve my control panel and make it bigger and better. I LOVE this hobby!!

Game On!! Brian

: Well, now that I am getting to the end of my project after about 4 months of checking out this great site everyday.... I got to thinkin... What makes us want to dump a ton of money and time into a project like this?
: For me... I got hooked on arcade games in the late 70's/early 80's when I was just starting high school. For me it was Stargate and Tron. Over the years I wanted to buy a stargate machine a lot of times but never saw one. Then after I saw others building their cabinets I had to build one too.

: Just curious.... what others feel about how they came about starting this project. What made you an arcade junkie?
