I'm 28 right now, and those around my age - and a bit older - were alive right at the right time when the arcade scene was brand-spanking new and exciting.

I remember that the Pizza Hut in Westmont, IL had a cocktail Ms. Pac Man and Galaxian, and I would bug my parents incessently to take us out for pizza just so that I could play those games. I remember how my synapes would just snap at the thought of one of my friends having their birthday party at Showbiz Pizza, and I would spend hours in front of Asteroids, Time Pilot, and Tron.

But like I said before, I was at the incredibly lucky age to remember when the arcade scene was brand new. I remember wishing that my Atari 2600 could look more like the arcade games. When MAME (and the commercial releases) first came out for the PC, I was in heaven. One day a few months ago, I just stumbled onto Shadow's homepage
(http://www.cs.ius.indiana.edu/AK/Brian/web_docs/homepage.htm) and saw for the first time that someone had actually built a MAME cabinet! I spent the rest of that entire night going to different people's websites, and I eventually found this page. I was hooked. I was a man possessed. And I'm THIS close to finishing the cab. Man, I can't wait! Damn all of you for infecting me with this madness!!
