They mentioned twice the fact that IBM included a joystick with their 1st PC because they were so enthusiastic about the idea of games on it, but IBM PC's were one of the LAST home computers to become a decent gaming platform; having long been outpaced by Commodore, Apple, etc. C64's had sound chips years before the IBM PC saw anything like a Sound Blaster.

LOL! The 'joystick' wasn't for gamming, it was drawing and CAD apps (that's why it was non-centering analog)!
