I agree too, although it was nice to see SOMETHING. What bothered me was the constant 3-D scenes being shown while the narrator talked with no explanation given as to what game the shots were from, why they were important, etc. It seems we were supposed to be awed by the pure beauty of 3d imagery (while it is nice, that's hardly what a documentary should aim for). During the entire discussion of Ultima Online, they were showing scenes that were definitely NOT from the online game but from Ascension. Why?
On a positive note, at least they talked about the shift in video games away from the arcades to home consoles and then to home computers. Again it barely counted as a surface treatment though. They mentioned twice the fact that IBM included a joystick with their 1st PC because they were so enthusiastic about the idea of games on it, but IBM PC's were one of the LAST home computers to become a decent gaming platform; having long been outpaced by Commodore, Apple, etc. C64's had sound chips years before the IBM PC saw anything like a Sound Blaster.

: I agree - I was extremely disappointed!! Who needs to watch a 'history documentary' about stuff you can see everyday anyway? I wanted more on the classics!!
