It makes perfect sense, and is 100% possible technically. Only problem is that like many of the things we do, it might cost more money than we care to invest. :(

Sigh... Thanks to you I'll never feel really good about my project without TWO spinners. Grr...

: I just purchased the Atari Arcade Classics, which aside
: from games I already have in MAME, also has the legendary
: Pong! It really is a great emulation, exactly like I
: remember (not that I was old enough to use one when they
: first came out), and it actually works with a mouse. Of
: course, that only works for one player. I've seen some
: posts about multiple mouses (mice?) on one computer, but
: getting them to operate independantly seems to be a
: problem. It occurred to me that it shouldn't be too
: hard to take a mouse, open it up, and then direct each
: axis to a different spinner, as a mouse has two that can
: be used at the same time.
: This would take someone good at electronics to figure
: this out, but I thought I would suggest it in case
: anyone would like to give it a shot. I'd do it myself,
: but I tried making a playstation to PC adapter with the
: direct pad pro, spent a week and $100, and totally
: failed.
: Of course, the software would have to be written to take
: advantage of this, which might require a patch to the
: Atari Arcade, but certainly it could be worked into MAME.
: Any takers?
