PS: I forgot somethings...

Analouge controls Are supported in mame... just not in all games (some games didnt use them, they just seemed to use them)

Pots are like those racing grips for toy race tracks. Or 'more recognized' as Light 'Dimmer' switches. They allow more or less current to pass through the pot depending on how far the pot is turned to one side. The computer recognizes the changes in voltages, and uses them to control the players directions.

The pot is setup like this:

Full Counterclockwise = 0 (no current can pass)
Full Clockwise = 10k (allows full 10k to pass)

Anything in between is increasingly higher untill it gets to a full 10k

This may be slightly inacurate, but Im no electrician :)

In most games, the pots are set up like this:

up = y axis (gas)

Left = x axis (steer) Right = x axis

down = y axis (brake)

There are only 2 pots. Set in the middle, they have a mid value. If moved say... up, the value increases, and so the it adds more value to the 'gas'. Press down, and it subtracts value.
