vertical games on a horizontal monitor

Hi there, got myself a jamma cab with a 25 inch monitor that is horizontal. It says that its rotatable,but the weight of the monitor is.. well alot. Anyway, iŽll keep it horizontal. I made a pc to jamma connector and it works like a charm with vsyncmame! When I play vertical games like pacman the top and bottom are cut out and with the "auto" resolution the screen gets really small. Anyone got an idea haw to get the maximum size of the game on the monitor? Any help is appreciated!
