I don't know if I'm missing something here, but it seems to me that if you're going to the effort to edit the sourcecode to change which keys get you beyond the "Press OK to Continue" load-screen, couldn't you just go the whole hog and bypass that whole load-screen entirely?
I'm sure I've read a few times of people doing it, and when/if my cab ever gets finished, I intended to do the same.. of course it's been a while since I programmed anything except my VCR, but it ought to be a simple matter to snip the offending bit of code right out.
