Take for example a gun: I see nothing wrong with a parent owning a gun but to leave the thing unlocked so that a child could access it is a terrible thing. Censorship needs to be dealt with somehow. There is a lot of stuff out there that young people shouldn't see. There should be a compromise between parents and filmmakers, media, software developers, etc. to make sure inappropriate stuff does not reach children. I don't think that a feature like the one mentioned would be too hard to implement. Yes it is parents who are mainly responsible for censorship but it wouldn't kill anyone to help a little, since it is often others who make it harder and harder for parents to do this. If Mame emulates games that are inappropriate for young children, it wouldn't kill them to add a feature to make these games censorable. No, its not their responsibility, but doesn't everyone want this world to be safe for children?
