You should twist them together, but I won't swear by it. You are about a week ahead of me, which makes you my guinea pig! (We have exactly the same cabinet and monitor).
Can't wait to hear your results. I'd kill for a manual to one of these monitors. The K7000 25" isn't the newest model out there, but it's a reliable and proven work horse. And replacement parts are readily available.
