Easiest way is to switch frontends. Unless for some reason you really want to run dos. Set up is much easier inside of windows and mame runs faster(yes it's true run 19XX from dos then from windows). Emuwizard has a real similar feel to arcadeos. I'm currently using, well it keeps changing, either arcadefx or raging dragon. If you want to run dos you have to reconfigure the card. You need to force it on an irq of 9 or lower. Then you need to adjust the setting check the faq on mame.net for exact details.
