Help Saving arcade keysetups in DMAME...

I built my own arcade machine, and I stupidly forgot to add a tab button, so I decided I'd use the = button in place of tab. Only problem is that I have to re-enter the button setup everytime I run DMAME... (I am running dos mame, incase you couldn't tell).... and it's damn annoying to have to put a standard keyboard in everytime I have to run a rom.... so how do I save the keyboard set up?
