Most laptops use a custom video circutry. I am not sure if most laptops support 15KHZ Modes, unless they have a TV-Out. Even then, in most laptops, they are designed to be portable, not be interfaced to everything, so some stuff may have been sacrificed.
You might try using a J-Pac adaptor. Also, you may want to see what video chipset is in the laptops onboard video. Some laptops are completely propertietry, though. If the circutry is known, you might try other AdvanceMAME paramaters.
Also, try turning off the Laptop's LCD (often an Fn Key + some other key). Making two screens on at the same time, often forces it into high-res, at 31Khz modes, which can damage an arcade monitor.
: Im sure this has been covered several times, I just cant seem to find it. I'm hooking up my toshiba tecra 8000 to my mame cabinet using Arcados. I've pined out the cable but i'm getting just a flat line accross the screen. Is this what happens when you dont have the right Video card?
