i appreciate the feedback being the newbie that i am. he is selling me the cab for $100 which seems really fair. so, i may not even need a new power supply as long as the monitor is getting power, correct?
and yes, i will be ordering the jpack for now and eventually building my own custom control pad, adding the opti-pax for a trackball/spinner.
hopefully i should have this machine this week at which time, all the REAL questions will start ;)
anyone who has responded open for email exchanges to help?
: I'm not familiar with this game but jamma+ might be recent enough where it uses a switched power supply ($30). But then again if that was true, and the owner had any knowledge about games at all he would have gotten a replacement. In either case it shouldn't be to difficult to replace with a switched PS (and maybe make your own custom wiring harness).
: If you want to convert it to a mame machine, it probably shouldn't matter (about the PD). As long as the isolation transformer is ok (I've never seen one go bad) for the monitor, thats really all you need.
: Unless you don't want to make your own control panel and use a jpac to interface with the existing jamma+ wiring....then go the switched PS route.

: : hi all, i may have found the cab i'm getting to convert to mame. the owner tells me that it just stopped working and that he thinks it's a bad power supply. curious as to how easy/difficult it would be to find a replacement. it's a "survival arts" jamma+ cab. any suggestions?
: : thanks
