Is it possible to connect a Positional Gun to Opti-PAC?

I'm Planning on building an arcade cabinet with Operation Thunderbolt Gun Control with all the gun shooting game that MAME support on it. Do you this this is possible? I just don't know where to start, I'm already done with my first project, that's why I thinking about this Idea. Thanks in advance.
