Wico Trackball & PS2 Mouse Hack?

Just throwing this one out for a long shot... has anyone hacked a PS2 mouse to connect a Wico Trackball? I tried Lucid's wiring diagram but was different on the Happ than the Wico Optic boards. If anyone can help, I would be more than greatful... thanks much.
