IPAC vs. Keyboard hack - *non-fighting games*

As for non-fighting games (shooters, platforms, etc.), where you mostly press 2 or 3 switches at the same time, do you think a keyboard hack is on the whole as good as IPAC? Or IPAC is *much* better here too?
