OSCAR plates ?

: Hi all, : Quick ?....for the OSCAR restrictor plates if you go with the screws, are the nuts secured to the underside of the mounting plate? : If not, is there any reason why I couldn't tack weld them in place so that I could just remove the screw (allen head) and then the plates would come off? : I know nothing of how the plates come off so I may be off base. For reference, using Comp sticks with 1/2" plywood with about 3" of clearance on underside of ctrl panels. : thx...matt faile
