Who knows how to save $

I'm trying to keep my cabinet as authentic feeling as possible. I currently have my coindoors wired for my credit switches. Heres the problem. If the coin is inserted when a game is up and running, everything is dandy. BUT... if a coin is inserted within the front-end the $'s wasted. I guess I was just curious if anyone had a practical solution to this? Besides not putting in the coin, hee :)

P.s. If no one else has any ideas I have a couple, but I don't know how practical they are.
