Mine's between the speakers mounted under the marquee overhang. Used a set of Altec Lansing speakers, removed the PCB and mounted the volume knob through a hole I drilled in one of those round cover plates for electrical junction boxes. (had to use PCB standoffs to clear room for the components).

Not too offensive looks wise, and easy to get to (with volume levels sometimes being radically different from game to game).

In fact, just soldered new speaker leads yesterday.

: Where do folks normally put a volume control on their cabinet? Does it make more sense to use the ~ key to control volume? What do real arcade machines use? A big knob on the side might be cool.
