Best Sound Card For Emuation (MAME32, etc) In Windows 98?

I'm using Windows 98 to do all my emulation now, as frontends and emulators in general are working great in Win98 now. The latest MAME build for Windows works better than any DOS builds I ever had. With Emuwizard in my cabinet, I can run all sorts of Windows emulators.

So right now I'm looking to finally ditch the crappy Ensoniq card I had for DOS compatibility and get a better card cheap. I was thinking a Soundblaster Live Value or an Aureal Vortex 1 or 2. Any suggestions? I'd like the emulator to play PC games as well as Mame32, Sony Playstation, Gens, etc...

Thoughts, suggestions?

By the way, does anyone know if standard command-line MAME32 or the MAME32 with the frontend build run faster, or are they basically the same?

Brad
