How much clearance under it do you have? This should be your deciding factor.
but really consider getting an 8way with Oscars 4way limiter plates. I hear their great then you have the best of both worlds. He also has qbert plates and hopefully soon horizontal and vertical plates, so with one joystick you have all the options.
I do like Munich's button layout. I would probably add 2 on the left and 6 on the right, but I play streetfighter games a bunch.
Actually... now that I'm dreaming (dreaming that I
can talk my wife into letting me building a cocktail table.... sigh). I love the design where you have on each end a joystick with a few buttons (like munich's) and on one of the hozontal sides, you have one or two setups with 6 buttons each for fighting games.
