Well I used whatever gauge is in a cat5 cable (might be thinner) ). I stripped a length of wire twice as long as I needed and folded it over onto itself and twisted it a little. I then stuffed it into the quick disconnect and crimped it with a pair of pliers. It seems to hold the wire just fine.
: Anyone that's used quick connects for their controls:
: I've used both solder-on and crimp connects more times than I care to mention, but the only .187" quick connects I could find are crimp-ons for 14-16 gauge wire (using 22 gauge solid for my cab).
: Considering either stripping twice what I need and doubling up (folding it over on itself) the wire before I solder into the connectors (and of course , cutting off the plastic insulators from the connects) or possibly stripping the normal amount off, folding it back across the insulator and crimping the connectors on (the same way you put spark plug wires together)
: Thought I'd run it by everyone to get second through eighth opinions.
