ECS boards suck! My friends had some for their Athlon and Duron. After 3 months both boards died. Maybe it was a fluke.
Any way, in response to the original post.
I looked on pricewatch, a PIII 1Ghz is $113. An Athlon 1Ghz with ECS coard combo is $104.
Hmmm, I think you system is going to change form intel to amd:)
