Sure, you can output video via IEEE1394 (Firewitre is the Apple name)... just buy a $7000 Sony DVCam deck (or for better portability, a DSR200 prosumer camcorder about the same price).

: Us laptop folk seem to be having difficulty outputting but I MAY have something like a solution, I was reading something completely unrelated and it happened to mention that it was possible to output video from the FireWire port, rather than using S-video or composite which wouldn't be the best solution. I'm still not sure if this'd work completely, I'm guessing a Windows frontend that can convert to video may still be needed and my laptops on the blink so I can't test it out. Any ideas anyone?
