Some people do, like Hanaho's stuff (that's why they're listed here under Alternatives - look to the left). The reason the rest of us build CPs (or whole cabs) is to get the whole look and feel we want.

Same as asking "why buy a model car kit? You can buy the whole replica car!"... sometimes the journey IS the reward, and you end up with something personalized, and customized to what you want.

: I may be stupid, or even naive, but a thought crossed my mind. Instead of hacking keyboards or controllers, would it not be simpler (or maybe even possible) to purchase an arcade top with a USB port and connect it straight to the PC?? I have seen these available and thought that it would be a tad easier. It would be the same as using it on your PC, except its in an arcade cab.
