: My project is going, but I'm at a point where trying to do much more is requiring me to buy the parts I need. Got to just do it. I'm trying to find a good system for my MAME cab. As far as motherboards, processors, RAM, and video cards go, I'm stuck trying to decide where I should go. I've been thinking about something along the lines of an ASUS A7A266 motherboard with some type of AMD 1GHz CPU, 128 MB of DDR RAM, and a decent video card, say maybe a GeForce2 MX 400? Can anyone help me decide? Am I going too far overboard, not enough, just right? Is there anything w/ more bang for the buck as far as motherboards and processors go? Where can I get parts at a great price and get quality, not trash (I already know about pricewatch.com) Is a GeForce 2 MX 400 card too much? (Will be running the output of the video card through an AverKey 300 Gold to a Wells Gardner U2000 monitor). ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Ar you going to do anything else on your cabinet? I'm going to also run mess, all the pro pinball games, and visual pinball.
That system sounds fine. What type of mame games are you into?
I'm fine right now with my PIII 500 because I am more interested in the 80s games.
