Does anyone here use Mamemenu as a frontend? I was using Glauncher but it has a memory leak problem when used in pure dos. If I scroll through the gamelist a couple times it will bomb on me. Mamemenu also seems to have a bug with the pagedown function. Originally, it would crash if I hit page down near the end of the gamelist. I fixed that problem and hacked in joystick support. It is perfectly stable under windows but after playing about 25-30 games in pure dos, weird things happen like Mame will no longer recongize my soundcard or sometimes it will crash. I think this might be an Allegro problem, maybe with the AllegroTTF library that both Glaunch and Mamemenu use for true type font support.
Does anyone else have it working properly in pure dos? I would use Arcadeos but it seems my crappy built in soundcard (Cmedia8378) doesn't supply enough voltage to the gameport for Arcadeos to detect my sidewinder. It will work if I manually configure Arcadeos once it's loaded, but I don't want to do that everytime I play.
