As far as rotating the button, probably the best you will be able to do is 180deg. Seeing as the microswitch is connected to the fixed portion of the button, you can disassemble the button, and rotate the base 180deg, and then reinsert the plunger. Attached is a picture of a standard horizontal, but the prongs are the same.
