The white background is a little stark, perhaps you could add a background or chose anther color. Also you have several different graphical styles all in one place. (6 diff drawing styles and 3 cgi styles) Placing a very mild filter over everything will bring all of that together, be it a color tint or some sort of brush style. You have some very bold color choice in buttons... you could make your overlay really pop if you incorporated those exact colors in it someway.

Looks great though, my overlay will be similar it'll just be all silver.
:)

: Hi,

: First, thanks to the arcadecontrols.com people. This is one of the few non-work related boards I check everyday...Cool stuff, great info.

: Second, here are some links to a prototype control panel with graphics pulled from games like Tekken series, KofF, and Capcom games. Over 100 characters are there. Happ SuperJoys, Kidtrackball, and a spinner made out of a head from a VCR (not working yet.) The graphics where boosted from the web and touched up in GIMP. THe layout was done in CorelDraw9. The cover on the spinner will be the Dragon from mortal kombat.

: I am looking for opinion here so fire away...Design improvements are always cool. Important fighters I may have missed ? Look closely, even Voldo is there. And even a couple characters from Jo-Jo's Bizzare Adventure...not a classic but still... Oh crap...no Dead or Alive characters...to the web and the GIMP.

: Oh the control panel currently plays Saturn, Mame, Playstation 1 and 2 and Dreamcast...I am still tossing around build or buy on the cabinet end. Monitor...25" TV.

: Can you tell we mostly play fighters :) I confess alittle "Mr. Do" never hurt anyone.

: Thanks,

: Tom V.
