Sorry, my sarcasm wasn't clear enough. Analog+ does this. The option, "switchaxes" or "switchableaxes" lets you change the mouse axes however you want. "Switch" isn't what the option really does, it makes any mouse axis changable to any player and any axis. It just does it differently than EMU+ and optimame did.
: I need this too for hooking up 2 spinners with one mouse, but i don't have the C programming skills. If anyone can modify Mame or Mame32 to do this, it would be HIGHLY appreciated, cause that would make my life a hell of a lot easier.
: Thanks,

: : : I am looking for information on using Happs optical rotary joysticks to achieve the rotation in games such as Ikari Warrior and Heavy Barrel, using the mouse's x-axis for player 1 and the y-axis for player 2 (or any other way it can be achieved for 2 players). It appears that this was an issue a couple of years ago, but I can't find anything current on it. From what I have found, Mame was recompiled as Optimame to allow for the x/y split, but I can't find a version (new or old) of Optimame anywhere (I'm guessing it's no longer done). Does Mame now support the x/y split or 2 mice or anything like that to accomplish the rotation for 2 players, or will I need to become a proficient c programmer and compile my own version?
: : : Thanks.
: : My port, Mame:Analog+, lets you change the mouse axes, amoung other stuff. It only saves the setting in the windows version currently, though.
: : BTW: EMU+ used the optimame code, but EMU+ stopped arround .37b12 dos. I use a different way than optimame/emu+, so if you want, you can learn C and port the optimame code, IYW. ;-)
