The only way to change it from 8-way to 4-way is to buy an adaptor plate from oscar or open your control panel to flip over the actuator. That can be a pain. It also doesn't feel quite right from what I hear. (The actuator that is. I am sure the adaptor plate from oscar is kick ass.) I personally went with the Ms Pac-Man/Galaga 4-way joystick for the original feel or each of those games. (Two of my all time favorites.) So it is kind of a personal preference.

: this mite be a dumb question but why do ppl get seperate 8 way jstick and seperate 4 way jstick each for different game purposes?

: cuz isnt the 8 way joystick from happs able to be adjusted to be 4 way somehow?
