Ok I'm not trying to be mean here but this is like the 12th posting in so many days. Apparently no one reads the others' posts. First off the Rd does infact support multiple emus as EA stated. I have no clue where you got the idea that it only supports mame. It's supported multiple emus from the first release and it has big links at the top of the homepage showing the emu's it officially supports. What makes me even more angry is the fact that your not the first person to say this. Perhaps you should read up on fe's before you make posts like this. If I've somehow made it unlcear that Rd supports mulitple emu's please let me know, and I'll try to fix it.
It's Casto btw, I'm not related to a dictator from a small bananna republic.
:)
As I've replied to numerious replies before there isn't a viable fe solution for console emu's yet. Yes gameluancher and others support them on a game-by-game basis, but so does RD for that matter. I don't count this a support because you have to go through the painstaking procces of manually entering each game which can potentially be hundreds if you have a good collection.
I'm working on this though, so please be patient.
And before somone jumps all over me let me explain. I by no means want to count my fe as the only good one out there, quite the opposite actually. It seems however that with a few noteable exceptions, other fe authors are unwilling or unable to add support for anything other than mame. Now this is personal preference on adding these other emu's I suppose, but it seems that everyone, not just me, should be adding support for multiple emus.
And I'm sorry, but having to manually add each game entry in a fe does NOT count as "support." Fe's are supposed to make the end-users life easier, not harder, and In my opinion if you can't refrsh the game list and go (after initial configuration for the fe's of course) then it's not doing it's job.
Ok I'm done, flame me if you want, but to keep posting, asking for the same thing over and over isn't going to change the facts. I think alot of users should just be patient. All of these new next-gen fe's are still in very early stages. You can't add support for everything overnight and begging for a fe that dosen't exhist isn't going to help any, other than letting authors know that support for other emus is needed. (Which we're all well aware of btw.)
I'll give you the same advice I was given when I used to come in here b**ching about not having a decent fe. Go make your own. I did it, so there's no excuse.
: Hi!
: I'm looking for a frontend which can run Mame, Zsnes, Nes, N64, sega and so on. Any suggestions?
: Raging Dragon is a nice frontend Castro, too bad it only works with Mame. Do you think it will support other emulators in a near future?
: Thanks!
