Guys I don't keep up with this end of things so correct me if I'm wrong. From what I understand mame trys to load the entire graphics set into memory before starting. Marvel superheroes isn't exactly the most graphically intensive game in the world, but there are alot of sprites and they're relatively large for an arcade game.
64 megs of ram is actually pretty skimpy for a mame setup if you intend to run fairly new games. Cps1 games (the old style capcom games before msh) used to run sluggish on my old machine, which only had 64 megs of ram. Even if this isn't your prob I would suggest buying a bunch of ram now while it's still really cheap. You can get a 128 meg stick for about 25 bucks right now.
Is aos giving you the rom error or mame itself? I'm not too familir with aos anymore, but I'm sure some of the guys can help you out if that's the prob.
: Hello, I was needing some help getting this game and a few others going on my ArcadeOS / Mame cabinet. When ever i try to load Marvel Super Heroes from the arcadeOD menu it chuggs along and then gives me a rom loading memory error. The machine has 64 megs ram so i don't think it would have trouble loading roms for mame ?? Please help. Thanks.
