: You are in luck. The monitor is multisync and will take a the signal from your PC with just an adapter from 13W3 to VGA. It does not apparently need the mod that my 17E10 needed because your H and V sync are tied together internaly according to the doc that I caputured.

: The following Sony monitors accept separate H+V sync as shipped, with no modification necessary. : : Hi all, : : I have posted a few questions on this before, but I now have some additional info. : : The monitor I have in mind is the SUN GDM-20E20. (See here for spec's: http://www.griffintechnology.com/monitors/Sun12.html) Now from what I can tell, I have two options in getting this monitor to work on a normal pc/mame setup. : : a) A cable solution (according to this: http://www.si87.com/Products/Videocards/monitor-table.html it appears that only a cable will be required) : : b) A video card designed to work with the fixed frequency monitor. (Here: http://www.si87.com/Products/Videocards/videocards.html) : : My question is: Does anyone out there have any experience with this monitor? Can anyone confirm or deny that the cable solution will be successful? : : I would really like to put this monitor to work in the cab as it's nice and big, and the image quality is superb. I only plan on using MAME in the cab. Can anyone think of a reason why this will not work? : : Any info will be appreciated. : : thanks : : -snake
