The howto's look nice, but one of the troubles that you will find is that you have to have multiple people taking control. Mainly because there are so many ways to hack every part, nobody will be good enough at all points. Thats where the message boards are good (or trying to get people to take control of part of the fax's).
one more thing to mention. Your link to ICPD makes it look as if you wrote it (even though it does say link). It's nice to put a thanks on your page to the author for all links if you put it in a frame in my opinion.
Also, you don't have a choice sections. IE, something like this

ie, if someone is going to build a cabinet, you need to decide your monitor, keyboard hack, joystick hack or encoder, build your own cabinet or buy a used one... ect. Something to help show the differences between each decision.
