Yeah, that's what I was going to do for my pcb board, is his method, except the combo mouse might not work too well since the optical wheel is so big, and the optical wheel on my spinner isn't that big. I'll see whats up though, so sall good.

: Check out this guy's Cheep Spinnner, I believe he uses a usb mouse to interface it.

: : Hey all,
: : Well I just got a spinner from the arcade I get all my goods from, he said he found them in the back behind some empty cabinets, and said I could have one (there were 2), and it seems like it will work great, except I'm curious as to where they originated from. He had no clue, and so I now ask you all of the message board. Since I don't have a digital camera, you'll have to go by ear. Well the knob was a tiny bit smaller than an arkanoid spinner, and it was gold. The top was smooth, and the color of it is a gold color (very nice looking.) The sides had ridges on them, not too big, but enough to grip onto.
: : One more question, since I don't have the money to buy an opti-pac (well, at least right now), is there a way I can take the wires coming out of the spinner and wire them up to the X-axis on a mouse? Has anyone seen this done? I was also thinking about buying a cheap mouse and replacing the pcb board of the spinner with a homemade radioshack cut out circuit board that has the X-axis light sensors on it, making sure the optical wheel in the mouse is about the same as the one in the spinner. I was also thinking about buying a mouse, and cutting the x-axis optical spinner so that it replaced the old optical wheel, then used the light sensors on a homemade circuit board? What are some peoples opinions here?
: : Thanks all,
