You can bypass the ok screen and the information screen by wiggling the joystick left and right a couple of times. Compiling your own Mame is kind of a pain because you have to download a bunch of stuff and follow some instructions :( Don't get me wrong, it's not hard, just kind of a pain. I did it once, but then when you want to update mame, you need to compile again. It is easier just to shake the stick, that's what I always say. A little stick shakin' never hurt anyone.
