What video card / motherboard are you running? I was having a similar problem with my system. It turns out that the Win 98 video card driver was not fully compatible with my chipset. Somewhere between Win98, the Ati Rage Fury Pro, and my Abit board there was some kind of klash. But it ran fine under Win2k (different drivers). I hope this helps, but I wouldn't wish the headache on anyone. I finally just pulled the card out. Best of luck...
: Hi Everyone!!
: I have a problem. I'm running a PC that has a pretty much empty hard drive except for Windows98, ArcadeOS, and MAME. I've put ArcadeOS in my StartUp folder so it will automatically start up, but when ArcadeOS starts the PC says "Windows Protection Error. You Must Reboot Your Computer".
: Any idea why it's doing this, or how I can fix it?
