Can PinMame run off of a CD??

That is, can I run PinMame games through Visual Pinball somehow off of a CD without installing it on a hard drive? I like the fact that I can run the Visual Pinball and MAME exe's off of a CD without having anything installed. Is this possible with PinMame or does Visual Pinball look for something in the registry for PinMame? Thanks for any help!
