duel button input on ipac

can you put two buttons on one input on an ipac. for example could i have two buttons that register as palyer 1 by jsut connecting both to the same input on an ipac board. This is for the standard player 1 start button as well as a second player one start o nthe side of the machine for pinball purposes.
